Inspired by antique quilts, fabrics and blocks in her collection, Shelbyville by Jo Morton for Moda is a beautiful set of reproduction style prints in a variety of simple designs in rich red, brown, black and navy blue. This quilting print has an on-point check design in black on a light tan background, reference number 38075-18.

This fabric is 100% cotton and is approximately 41-43 inches (102-107cm) wide off the bolt.

Our most common question is 'What is a fat quarter?' The diagram below shows how all the various cuts of fabric are measured, but in short:

  • A fat quarter is where half a metre is cut off the fabric bolt, then cut in half again parallel to the selvedge - finished size is approximately 20" x 21-22" (50cm x 55cm) including the selvedge
  • A long quarter is simply quarter of a metre cut straight off the bolt - finished size is approximately 10" x 42-44" (25cm x 110cm) including the selvedge.

I am always pleased on how you cut your fabrics. Very neat, sadly not all companies cut fabric as good as you.
