The Micro Stitch basting gun from Avery Dennison is a great, easy to use tool that saves time on basting and more. It can be used for basting quilts quickly, attaching labels or embellishments, and as a temporary fix for buttons, seams and hems etc.

With the smallest tacks available on the market, the small, extra fine needle is gentle on fabric, and the tiny micro fasteners can be sewn over and easily removed with a quick pull or snip - there are 1080 tacks included with the gun, half white and half black.

Very prompt service. Ordered Friday evening, found in my mailbox Sunday am (dont have Sunday delivery!). Gun works well so far but must ensure it is used perpendicular to the fabric, else tack can be tricky to remove. Tacks too small for a very thick quilt.
