Made by the experts at Vlieseline (formerly Vilene), Decovil is an iron-on stiff interlining with a leather-like feel. Suitable for bag, hat and belt making and general crafting - perfect for making wallets and purses. It is tear and crease resistant and non-fray. 90cm (36in) wide.
Decovil adds amazing strength and structure to textile projects, whilst also remaining light and pliable - it feels like leather but has the added bonus of being easier to sew than leather, it goes through the sewing machine beautifully.
Decovil is fusible on one side so can be ironed on to fabric - to fuse press with an iron on wool setting (cool) under a damp cloth step by step, holding each time for about 6 seconds. Do not push the iron. After ironing, allow the fused pieces to cool for about 30 minutes to allow the bond to set.
Wash up to 30 degrees on delicate cycle. Dry clean. Approx. weight: 390g/m2.
