One of our large range of 46 different solid colour fabrics from the Makower Spectrum range, this is a great quality, high thread count plain patchwork fabric in bright emerald green, reference number 2000 G46.

This fabric is 100% cotton and is approximately 42 inches (112cm) wide off the bolt.

Our most common question is 'What is a fat quarter?' The diagram below shows how all the various cuts of fabric are measured, but in short:

  • A fat quarter is where half a metre is cut off the fabric bolt, then cut in half again parallel to the selvedge - finished size is approximately 20" x 21-22" (50cm x 55cm) including the selvedge
  • A long quarter is simply quarter of a metre cut straight off the bolt - finished size is approximately 10" x 42-44" (25cm x 110cm) including the selvedge.

Being new to patchwork and wanting a variety of material for hand sewn projects I was not disappointed with Pelenna Patchworks. There was plenty of material to choose from in lots of lovely colours. I placed my order which was dealt with quickly and I look forward to making further purchases soon.

I love the samples that Pelenna provide. They are big enough go be able to match fabrics. Havd fund them invaluable.My friends and I share them. The only problem is, I find a colour that is perfect fr a current project only to find it is no longer available. Ah well, such is life!
