Product description

Paraffin wax for coating threads (same function as beeswax), yarns etc. to eliminate twisting and knotting when hand quilting. Simply run the thread through the groove of the cardboard container to coat with wax, and have smooth running thread whatever the application. Not suitable for use in a sewing machine.

Finally got around to order this, I do English paper piecing and the wax stops the thread knotting and ravelling.
This store is easy to find what you want and their delivery is quick.

I didn't expect to like paraffin wax as much as I do: I love it. It really does stop sewing thread from tangling and knotting. I really like that the wax does not coat the sewing thread much, it only puts a very fine film on that you can hardly detect - and it still works.
The holder is perfect: it allows the round disk of wax to move around so you don't overuse any one place too much.
This is an all round useful and well thought out sewing tool. I highly recommend it.
