The needle is polished along the axis and coated with ultra-thin black plating for anti-rust resistance. Experience astonishing smoothness with each use. These fine applique needs go through the fabric with ease. The eye, on the size 12, is small but cleanly cut and easy to thread with magnifying lamp

This is the first time I have bought "special" needles to sew with, I usually just use what is to hand but I read a good review of these and thought I would give them a go. I am very pleased with them, they glide through the fabric and are very very sharp. The only downside to them, and this could just be me but they have a very small eye and so are a challenge to thread and they are quite small and thin, which I don't find a problem but if you do find holding a needle difficult then perhaps go for something bigger. The service from Pelenna Patchwork was excellent and I will shop here again. Overall very pleased with the needles, I won't shy away from "special"needles again.
