Whether used for hand quilting or machine quilting, quilting stencils provide a great way of transferring intricate quilting designs on to your quilt top. These quilt stencils from Quilting Creations International are made from plastic with pre-cut channels that allow you to mark the quilting design with the marking tool of your choice.

This pretty border quilt stencil features the traditionally popular heart design, with three hearts lined up in a row - the design can be extended for as long as you need it to complete a border. Each heart can be completed in one continuous line, and directions for this are included on the label, however the whole design is not continuous, just each individual heart.

The stencil size is 5 inches x 14 inches (13cm x 35cm) - the measurement is taken across the quilting design, not the full width of the plastic.

I have used this several times, it's an easy stencil to space out a little if you want to fit the border exactly, I usually hand quilt and because the individual hearts have generous lines to them, they are quick to complete.
